Kelley Blue Book Takes a Look at the 2018 Ford Escape SUV

Recently, an expert from Kelley Blue Book's KBB.com took a critical look at the 2018 Ford Escape. The SUV earned praise for its versatility and variety of options within the lineup, as well as its ability to tow up to 3,500 pounds.

The Escape is now available in four trim levels: S, SE, SEL, and Titanium. Even the entry-level S trim offers standard rearview camera, 6-speaker AM/FM/CD audio with USB input, a 4.2-inch infotainment screen and Ford Sync with Bluetooth connectivity and voice recognition, as well as a 6-way adjustable driver seat and automatic headlights. Naturally, the higher trim levels add more amenities, such as a suite of driver-assistance safety systems.

The Escape offers three engine choices, which are available in specific trims. The S model is powered by a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine, while the SE and SEL come with a 1.5-liter EcoBoost turbocharged engine. Finally, the Titanium model gets a 2.0-liter turbocharged EcoBoost engine that produces 245 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque. All three engines are matched to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
